Rate limits
How much you can call and what to do when limited.
The Speedy API currently allows 300 requests per minute per client address. Some actions, such as sign-in codes, have tighter limits of their own.
When you are limited you receive 429 with the code rate_limited and standard rate-limit headers. Wait, then retry with the same idempotency key.
- Back off with increasing delays and a little randomness.
- Do not retry in a tight loop.
- Do not shard across addresses to avoid a limit. Ask us for a higher partner limit instead.
